Paa

Paa
Cast: Abhishek Bachchan, Vidya Balan and introducing Amitabh Bachchan
Director: R. Balki; 8.5 /10

The movie is well edited, they know the story and the message passes on well!! I totally enjoyed watching "Auro" and i bet you will too. It for me did not look like a the movie is showcased at a particular set of audience.

Vidya (vidya balan) bumps into cute .. good looking.. handsome.. Amol Arte (Abhishek Bachchan :D!! ).. (he he quite literally.; ) and as all stories would go.. they fall ion love.. when Vidya tells Amol that she is pregnant with his baby.. the Highly ambitious career oriented.. want to do good for the country Amol says.. she should abort the baby; Vidya dumps him... and goes on has Auro (Amitabh Bachchan).. this movie is about him.

Auro is a 12 year old kid infected with progeria, he lives with his mother Vidya (Vidya Balan) and grandmother (Arundhati Naag). Auro wins the first prize at a school fair.. the prize is handed over to him by Amol Arte.. who becomes interested in knowing more about Auro. One one occasion Auro asks Amol to take him to the "Rashtrapati Bhawan". while Auro is making plans to go to Delhi with Amol, Auro has a stroke.. because kids with Progiria do not live more than 13 -14 years..Vidaya thinks that this could be the killer stroke.. revels that his father is none other than Amol Arte. Auro recovers from the stroke and the trip to Delhi happens. This is the bit with the father son chemistry. Auro has promised his mom he will not hell His father anything. Amol has no clue he has a son.

Auro has yet another stroke.. and What follows after is Auro attempts of getting his separated and disunited parents back together.

oh yeah....Kudos to the designer, great job by Sabyasachi Mukherjee!! his attempt in making Vidya balan look different has worked. (FINALLYYYY!!) she looks really elegant.. in the simple sarees he has designed for her.

All said and done the movie given the subject... wont drown you in sorrow....it'll leave you with an emotional feeling.. and i think that is hugely contributed by the performance of Auro. The power of Amitabh Bachchan's acting once again, be it any role he has just excelled at it and yet another time.. he has shown us.. who is the "Baap" (paa) of Hindi cinema.
